Why call Me Lord, Lord and do not the things I say?

Many who profess Christ will be told by our Lord on Judgement Day: "I never knew you; depart from me". Perhaps this is the most tragic text in all the Bible.

Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then will I declare to them, I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.' -Matthew 7:21-23

Why call Me Lord, Lord and do not the things I say?
You call Me the Way and walk Me not!
You call Me the Life and live Me not!
You call Me Master and obey Me not!
If I condemn you blame Me not.
You call Me Bread and eat Me not!
You call Me Truth and believe Me not!
You call Me Lord and serve Me not!
If I condemn you blame Me not.

-Jeff O'Hara

This is about the only place that i found where i can respond to your "Quote for the day".

Simply, TRUTH IS! Each and every "biblical(which rightly translated and understood IS "The Word of TRUTH)" is biased and perverted in accordance with the religious dogma and worldly views of the translator(s)!

Just found this poem while listening to a John MacArthur sermon on “appeal to charismatic pretenders” from November 7, 2013. Thought you might appreciate knowing your poem was used in preaching the truth. A poem from 2009 found in 2018. Awesome!

This is a real wake up call for us a Christians. That a life of just simply tolerating our Sin is normal. That's something we cannot be doing. I pray I, as well as you give into God.

Good afternoon Mr. O'Hara! Jesus saved me 16 years ago. Over the past year and a half I have been writing a book on my life change. I would like to encourage you, and also as permission to use the poem Lord, Lord in the segment called the Scariest Thing I've ever read or heard. Thanking God for using you as a vessel and disciple! Have a great day of worship! David

I TOO heard your poem via a John MacArthur sermon titled "Saved or Self-Deceived, Part2 (Matthew 7:21-27).
By the time I heard the third line I was already in search of your poem. I had to have it to share with others.
Well written, well done... the message is clear.
Like many others (I'm sure), I TOO seek permission to use your poem when I am sharing about THE TRUTH.

I just "heard" the YouTube video of the same sermon today. And it seems like that others did the same. I'm usually commuting to work while I listen to these videos and this is one that I've heard it before. I actually remembered to catch the name of Jeff O'Hara today. How true this words are.
