Good Tidings Of Great Joy!

JESUS IS BORN!

"Unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:11)"When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy." (Matthew 2:10)

JESUS DIED!

"Thou shalt call His Name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins." (Matthew 1:21)"God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) "Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross." (Hebrews 12:2)

JESUS IS RISEN!

"Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead…. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy." (Matthew 28:5-8)

JESUS ASCENDED!

"While He blessed them, He was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. And they worshipped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy." (Luke 24:51,52) "Rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father." (John 14:28) "God … set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion." (Ephesians 1:17-21)

JESUS IS COMING AGAIN!

"For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout … and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17) "In Thy presence is fulness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." (Psalm 16:11)

JESUS GIVES GREAT JOY!

Do you want to have this great joy? God's Word promises eternal joy in heaven if you, as a guilty sinner, put your faith and trust in Jesus as your Saviour. (Revelation 21:1-4; John 3:16) He also promises joy in this life for the believer who follows the Saviour, making Him Lord of his life. "These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full." (John 15:11)

NO JOY WITHOUT JESUS!

If you do not have Jesus as your Saviour and Lord, you cannot have true peace and joy, either in this life or in the life to come. When the Lord comes, you will be left behind and the door to heaven will be forever shut. (Matthew 25:10-13) Instead of great joy, you will experience "weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Luke 13:25-28) in hell "where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched." (Mark 9:43-48)

Trust Christ today as your Saviour, submit your life to His leading, and know great joy both now and forever.
