"Predestination is according to foreknowledge. The scriptures are very clear about that (Romans 8:29, 1 Peter 1:2). God's foreknowledge is an essential aspect of the process of predestination. But, it is often assumed that foreknowledge means that God looks down the corridors of time and knows in advance who will accept the gospel and predestines them on that basis. Now that would be a fair assumption to make if it were supported anywhere else in scripture. It is not." -Pastor Bridge
